New eMail Features Coming in November

A new pop-in compose feature will be added to webmail in late November.

What does "pop-in compose" mean?

Currently, when a user chooses to compose an email, the feature opens up as a new window in your browser.  Once this feature is released, the compose pane will open up inside the same window as your inbox.  If users would rather have their compose open in another window, they can simply choose to "pop-out" with the arrow in the top right portion of the compose pane.  The webmail system will remember whichever action was done last.

How does this affect me?

You will see this difference on November 15th.  The speed of the compose pane is dramatically faster if a user chooses to keep their window popped-in. 

In addition to the speed enhancements we have also made strides to increase our user’s productivity by enhancing performance and adding features like:

·       Autocomplete

·       Keyboard Shortcuts

·       “No Subject” notification

·       “No Attachment” notification

·       Right click on email > Create Filters

·       Invites > can now send to groups (not just individuals)

·       Webmail Mobile – Addition of privacy policy link to log in page

·       Various minor updates and bug fixes
